Jobs in education...please help

I've worked for the last 25 years in early years. Firstly as a nursery nurse, working my way up to management. I've been an assessor and IQA for a few years and then when I had my little one went back to playgroup work part time as it fitted in with them.

The playgroup is sadly closing, and I need to find new employment.

I'd love to move away from playgroup/nursery work and really use my skills and knowledge. Also something that pays better (why does education pay so badly???).

I have management experience, a pgce in further education, IQA and assessor experience.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd even be willing to change sectors if my skills would be transferable.

Part time, freelance or full time would be considered. Please help x

What roles are advertised in the FE colleges near you? Or the local universities? I'd just have a read through for a starting point.

Thanks @Summerslimtime I've just had a look and there's quite a few jobs in FE colleges. None in early years but I'll keep an eye out. I can do HE too but I'm nowhere near any universities which is a shame.

Have you looked at whether your nearest FE colleges are looking for assessors / IQAs? Have you looked at other qualification providers? How about a job in Children’s Services?
