Apple Watch on hospital ward

Hi guys

I am about to start work on a hospital ward and it’s likely that I won’t be able to wear my Apple Watch due to infection control
does anyone know if I could wear it on my ankle?
I want to count my steps whilst at work or is there a better watch that I could use that could maybe go in my pocket?
thanks in advance

I think the infection control thing is bare below the elbow. So a watch on the ankle should be ok. You might want to get a bigger strap for it. Maybe there are Apple Watch ankle straps?

Wearing it on your ankle may look as if you are on tag
I just stuck mine in my pocket
It did work .. mostly ☺️

I’ve worn mine on my ankle but more recently, I bought a strap that goes above the elbow. I also have a fab attachment.

Check your trust's rules, but I know that some trusts don't allow anklets, so wearing it on your ankle may not be an option.

In my trust, you can wear a plain band ring, so a smart ring tracker would be an option. Or a pocket pedometer.

I wear mine on my ankle with a stretchy sports strap. I tried above the elbow but my upper arm is too fat Blush

You can get nurse fobs to attach the watch to.

I don’t bother because I know I will lose it or put it through the wash but they do work.

You will need to be bare below the elbow and even in my mental health trust following covid, no rings allowed.

This. There is a good choice of fob type straps for Apple Watches. Enjoy your job.
