Maternity discrimination scared of awkward office

I’ve been told I have a really strong case for maternity discrimination regarding a promotion but I’m worried about how awkward it’ll make me life at work

(I work in a team of 4)

does anyone have any advice especially on pursuing a case but wanting to stay in the job?

This is just my personal opinion, but I don't think those two things are compatible.

What outcome would you want?

You need to jump one way or the other. It is rare for somebody to stay with an employer after going to tribunal. Tribunal leads to a breakdown of the employer / employee relationship.

I agree. It is near impossible unless you have a very thicj skin to stay with an employer that you have taken legal action against. If you think you have such a strong case, have you tried discussing your concerns with the employer? If you really want to continue to work for them, then that would be the most obvious place to start. If that doesn't work, then you must decide one way or the other. Sometimes just having that discussion may not solve the immediate problem but a compromise can be reached.

Honestly it's going to be impossible for you to take a case and then continue to work in a very small team. It would be unbearable.
