Career Change Direction help

I'm looking to change careers or at least start working towards something. I've tried a change once before ( adult nursing) and whilst the academic aspect I excelled in and liked my non hospital placements on the whole I felt it just was not a great match and found being a sensitive soul I struggled with the bullying and toxic environment on the whole. This was 20 years ago so a while. Now with DC older and at university I'm looking for a new career, preferably still in healthcare having worked in it all my life. Most of my skills lie with office work and if I'm honest whilst I can take the risk and move into an AHP assistant role for example how do I know it's the right thing? To have a CV full of office work then a few clinical roles until I find something that fits really isn't appealing I would imagine to a future employer or for my mental health (I'm nearly 50!). What would you do? I did consider studying whilst working but to what end?
