Overpayment after leaving company

I'm looking for some advice regarding a considerable over payment of salary.

I have been overpaid a number of months wages, despite telling my previous employer after the first and second instances of it happening. My contract does not mention anything regarding repayment if the overpayment was after leaving, is anyone able to advise where I stand?

You owe the money to your employer as you aren't entitled to it, despite their error. You need to put it to one side until they write to you to recover it.

You will need to pay it back, but can request to do so in installment
Essentially it’s an overpayment irrespective of whether you still work there you’re responsible for paying it back

It's not your money, just keep it all to one side so you're not in a sticky situation when they inevitably ask for it back!

Stick it in as high interest account as you can find and make some money off it Smile easy access so you can pay it back when they ask
