Any hiring managers' input or suggestions gratefully received before I spend a fortune on PM quals..
Currently looking at a potential career change and a return to FTE after a "break".
Been a working single parent for 18 years; for the last 8 have freelanced in sales, marketing and business development, plus additional part-time retail management jobs locally to make ends meet.
Background prior to that in finance sector and customer service training/induction.
DS is now adult so I'm now considering my options for the next 20 years.
Due to some unfortunate luck in my youth I never made it to uni, instead have 28 years' experience in various business areas, albeit much of that not "full time" or in one role as have needed to juggle around parenthood etc.
I'd consider myself a great multi-tasker with various transferable professional and interpersonal skillls, but is that considered "enough" to break back into a decent role with scope and potential for career progression?
I've just finished a self-funded level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management and am looking to do a Prince2 plus Agile with a view to applying for project management roles in the capacity of "returner".
My highest level of qualification is 3 (the L&M plus NVQ business admin) - do I need to take on a 4-7 L&M or would the Prince2 and Agile be enough to be perceived as a credible candidate?
Many thanks in advance.
