Hi all,
I've got my first induction at sainsburys on Friday.

Does anyone know what you do at the induction? How long it takes?

I've not worked in many years so I'm very nervous but also excited.

Also my contract is temp what are the chances of being kept on after this ends?

I started with Tesco's 6 weeks ago. My induction day was mainly doing their online training videos and exercises and getting information about things like pay and discounts. Was there 9-3.
I'm also on a temp contract which ends on the 1st July and have no idea if I will be kept on
I'm contracted for 2 nights (10-7) but have been doing 2 overtime night shifts as well.
Good luck 👍🏻

@Ahrightsoted thank you for your reply.

Hopefully you get kept on after. I was hoping for a permanent position so I'm hoping all goes well and there is a chance to be kept on.

How did you get on today@frenchiemummy92 ? I work at Sainsbury's but only saw this today so sorry I couldn't give you any info before your induction.

I started in November last year as a Christmas temp and was offered a permanent job at the end of my contract. This was the case for most of the temps so I would reckon you'd probably be good for a permanent position at some point.

I do two days a week and there is usually plenty of overtime if you want to do it. Are you a trading or services assistant? I'm trading, on days replenishment.

Hope it went well Op!

@Skecherslover and @Gothambutnotahamster it's going really well I think. I'm thoroughly enjoying it! Nice to get out and interact with other adults after being a SAHM. Hoping it will be permanent by the end of the 12 weeks.
I'm on the tills and self service. Odd rude customer but I just stay polite and smile.

Glad it's going well @frenchiemummy92 and I'm sure if they're able to keep you on, then they will do as good staff are worth their weight in gold.
