Retraining

I've worked in sales for over 20 years, currently on a £60k base. But I CANNOT face another 30 years of the rollercoaster where you can be top of the leaderboard for months on end but one bad month means risk of performance management - it's so disheartening and stressful.

I'm the breadwinner and need to earn IRO of £60k pa for our lives to not be massively impacted by me wanting to get out of sales.

Is there anything at all that I can retrain in, and then maybe do as a side hustle in the short-term (outside of 9-5), that will then get me close to that figure in a full-time position?

I've considered tech, maybe web development but starting salaries seem to be IRO of £25k which I can't afford to consider :(

Would be really grateful for any advice

Is there any place for self employment using your existing skills? You are obviously good at what you do to reach that salary. Sounds like it’s the stress of being an employee in a pushy company rather than the job itself which is making you unhappy.
