Colleague special treatment

Absolutely fed up of colleague receiving special treatment from the manager/director of the company I work for.
Days off on full pay in cases where the rest of us would be unpaid or at best on sick pay (old injury playing up). This is one example.
Colleague threatens to hand in notice and gets given whatever they want to stay.
Extra hols, bonuses paid directly (so not taxed), expenses that others do not get.
Colleague is adequate at job but certainly not worth the special treatment (only really performs when there's a manager around and takes credit for jobs they have not done).

Next steps?

Why would there be any next steps? There's nothing illegal or unethical about treating one person better than others, unless it constitutes some form of discrimination against a protected characteristic. It may be bad management. So are lots of things companies can do if they like.

You can put up with it or you can leave.

Either find a way to let it wash over you or find a new job.

If your employer is engaged in tax evasion then I'd pick the latter option. Although how do you know that's the case?
