Hi,

Anyone do this job? is it challenging? I know it will be incoming calls and emails, raising invoices for payment and requesting cheques etc, no doubt scripted as FCA governed.

I’ve been offered the role working nights as it (I’m a night owl over morning person so it really suits) and as the office is closed evenings, I’m going to be able to do it as a remote job from home once out of training 🙂 when remote jobs are hard to come by round here, so I’m thinking it may be the way forward and get me a new environment.

I tried Insurance years ago but as one of those in the call centre at first level selling the actual policies.

DH has always worked in insurance, he started on motor claims desk and now employs lots of claims handlers (and other staff). The worst thing about insurance is that you encounter people at a bad time in their lives and they can be incredibly rude about things that aren't anything you can do anything about, but if you can accept this as they just being upset and frustrated rather than directed at you he's always loved claims. If you enjoy it, you can do the CILA exams to progress

Thank you, ❤️ it, I’d forgotten about the opportunity to do the exams.
