Teaching job - when will I hear about an interview?

I applied for a part-time teaching position, today was the deadline. Just wondering from people's experiences when I might expect to hear if I have got an interview? The interviews are next Friday (28th) for the job I've applied for and they also have interviews this Friday for a full-time position. I know they will be shortlisting for that one first but I'm really hoping I will hear by the end of the week as I would like to tell my current HT, that I have an interview, face to face and I only work Thursdays and Fridays!

Any advice on this will be much appreciated 👍

They’ll have to have a meeting in the next couple of days to short-list candidates. You’ll probably hear at the end of this week, to give you a week’s notice.

Thank you! That's what I'm hoping for. Not sure what to do about telling my HT if I haven't heard by the end of the day this Friday? Don't know whether I should tell her in case I was to find out next Monday for example or just assume I wasn't successful?

Depending on the school it could be anywhere from the end of this week to Wednesday (or even Thursday) of next week.

I think it's common courtesy to let you me head know as presumably you've put them down as a reference?

I told my head before I handed the application in and Ive an interview next week. My head has been really supportive but the job I've applied for is a promotion that simply isn't possible in my school atm so they were really understanding!
