New job after 16 years

My spouse has accepted a new job after being with the same company for 16 years- they have a vested interest as a family member is on the board and a founder, so spouse still has some shares. But, the salary has never kept up with other companies and job titles.

This job offer is double the salary with other perks. It seems like they already feel more valued for being offered the job but have serious imposter syndrome. I’m a bit apprehensive too as it’s obviously a big change for our family but I want to be supportive, and I’m sure it will work out.

obviously there’s a probationary period and less security than we’ve been used to. So really I’m just wondering how many people have these feelings, what’s the best thing to do and to confirm that most jobs should be ok as long as you’re clear about objectives etc.
