I wish to return to work after being a SAHM for 7 years and I don’t want to return to the type of work I was doing before. I wondered if anyone can recommend somewhere that can offer career/job change advice please? Free or reasonable prices (not £££).
I have already spoken to the National Careers Service about my CV and was very unimpressed with their advice so I’m reluctant to contact them again (apparently doing voluntary work in an office is meh and not to bother listing it, and I should put that I’m organised because I must do housework because I’ve been a SAHM etc..)!
I’ve looked through books like What Colour Is My Parachute etc but I feel I really want some personal advice. I had thought I would like to work in the charity sector after volunteering for the past year but I’m feeling a bit disillusioned with it now.
