Hello!

I'm going back to work in May and i am really hated right now as my hours after ML have been approved and noone elses have (3 others were not approved not sure why)

I'm being completely frozen out last year they were wishing me Happy birthday but this year haven't .. just pity stuff like that and the fact noone wants to talk to me.

I honestly don't know what to do as i feel so down about going back and I'm actually really scared as i got really good deal with work and i just don't think i can cope with my horrible stuff i looked everywhere for another job and can't find anywhere that suits my child!

Please be kind 🥺

Are you sure it isn't just that you've dropped off their radar while you've been on Mat Leave? This does tend to happen - in a busy workplace, it can be out of sight, out of mind. This doesn't mean you won't be welcomed back.

Hmm maybe although i know one of the girls are very annoyed that PT hours were agreed and hers wasn't - she told me herself and even admitted she can't afford to go part time. I'm trying not to overthink but i feel sick with dread xxx

I know people can be irrational, but any anger should be directed at whoever refused their hours - it's not your fault. There must be plenty of people who are full time with no wish or plan to reduce their hours, and they are unlikely to be interested in any fuss over others going part-time. I understand why you a
feel nervous, but I am sure it will be OK when the time comes. Flowers

Don’t dread going back to work because of this is was the companies decision to agree your hours, it’s not your problem.
if any one has an issue they should take it up with management and not with you. They’ve made the choice - not you. And if anything is said you need to be assertive about it and tell them that having a issue with you isn’t going to solve anything.
