I appreciate this is not a positive post but like others in a new job where it is just to make ends meet, working in the CS.This is a new job post covid and it seems like the world of work is not what it was pre covid and have to say I really am not enjoying my new job. The department of 60 + staff is so very poorly managed I have never seen anything like it in my 15 years of working in the CS.
Basically looking for some positive thoughts and affirmation from others who may not be enjoying their job, new or old but they're just sticking it out for the time being because their circumstances mean they have no choice but to do so.
My new job has offered no training, no support and the manager simply doesn't care despite several conversations, he simply does not have the time to support me. I am trying very hard to gather information myself but it is a real struggle. I could cry. Are there any words of encouragement from others who may be in a job who are simply fighting fire each day? I cannot afford to fail my probation but it is a distinct possibility.
