just a question regarding breaks. Basically I started my job 3 years ago and I was verbally told breaks were paid, now in the contract it states breaks are UNPAID but also states the amount i would earn per annum which would include breaks, so the contract is a bit misleading, now we have been verbally told that we should never had paid breaks and that was a mistake by our manager and head office are to rectify this, I don’t have a problem with this as it is what it is; but do they have to provide any notice as it is written in the contract, although my annual wage will now have to be rectified as on the contract, the annual salary included breaks. I’m just wandering if a new contract would be required?
