@ssd I work for M&S, what are your questions?

ssd · 04/04/2023 23:09

I'd like to know, do you get training before you start? And is there on going training on the job? Is it decent or are you thrown in at the deep end?

Also, are you responsible for your own training?

Or do the management actually make sure you are trained sufficiently for the job?

@ssd it's all changed from when I started 10ish years ago, you'll probably have a day or two of e-learning where you'll learn age restrictions, data protection, fire health and safety ect ect, you'll have a fire tour from the Fire health and safety officer.
Learning is not usually on the shop floor where you'll be buddied with someone to learn the tills.
What department will you be working in?

Im not going for a job there, i work in a department store and the training is abysmal and i wondered if somewhere like marks trained staff better. It sounds like they do
