i’m after some careers advice/ideas please !

I’m in my early 50’s with primary age children and about to start uni age so full on parenting. I’m a lawyer with nearly 30 years in the profession and for the past few years I’ve been a consultant for an in-house legal team and it suits me brilliantly in many ways. I work the hours and days I want to work (I work mostly from home - even pre COVID- and can do the school run, go to an exercise class, walk the dog etc and just bill for hours I work (at a great hourly rate). But I’ve reached a point where the role is coming to an end as they have recruited someone to work full time and in the office : I was offered the job but I’m not interested in doing that. So now I’m at a crossroads.

I am a bit menopausal and questioning what I want to do next makes me terrified, I know that I won’t get anything that works so well for me in terms of hours / flexibility but with good money. But I am soooooo bored of the job anyway that I need to change something before I go stir crazy. I don’t love working in the law. I‘m a bit of an introvert but can “step up” when I need to. But I NEED to do something different I’ve never done anything thing, professionally, other than a little bar work and retail in my late teens/early 20’s.

Any suggestions please ? what job do you do? How do you work it round family life? Do I have to start at the bottom again ? I’m not great at toeing the corporate line and hate networking events! If I’m honest, I’d love to win the lottery and never work again but think that’s probably not realistic expectation 🤡

Argh !! Thanks x
