Have a new job, must keep under wraps for now

Unfortunately lost job due to covid (manufacturing thing) and then fairly quickly got a new one but it really hasn't worked out well for a number of reasons.
Have negotiated out of my contract and also landed a new job.

But can't publicise anywhere else. I hope it's ok to post here because I'm bursting to tell someone!

Me too, but I find myself about to slip up with my colleagues about three times a day! Roll on everything being official (although that will also be traumatic I suppose).

How fantastic! Do you know much about your new workplace? Have you had a wardrobe overhaul?

aw thanks - start on 1st May, and it's same money, pretty much the same type of job but smaller company, more time in the office with colleagues and released of baggage that had accumulated.

The news is out in my old place, but thankfully since i managed to negotiate out of my contract i only have a couple of weeks to work, the rest is a combination of vacation accrued and gardening leave :)

Congratulations . I learnt after been very unhappy in a job . There are always other jobs

I think my move sounds quite similar - it's a sideways step in terms of the job title, but in reality the new role will be quite different, hopefully in lots of positive ways 🙂.

And yes, I'm really looking forward to tidying up things in my old role, and starting with a clean slate in the new one.

I'm planning to tell my colleagues once the contract etc. is signed and in place.

i'm preparing a handover document, and looking forward to deleting all my emails and stuff on the server.
