I was having a meeting over Teams with my boss and a couple other colleagues. One of my colleagues asked when we would be meeting up in person for a team lunch (I haven't met them in person yet since I was promoted to my current position during Covid and have WFH since). My boss said that hopefully we can get together at some point and it's definitely something he is looking forward to etc., and since there had been a few awkward silences during the meeting, plus no one had their cameras on, I said something along the lines of "yes and hopefully it'll be less awkward than meeting up over Teams." I said it humorously, I didn't want to imply that they themselves were awkward. But I think my boss took it the wrong way and he said sarcastically "thanks.." Now I'm wondering if I should say something, that if anything I meant I'm the awkward one over Teams?
