First posting here ladies and gents so be kind please, looking for a bit of insight, opinions and advice.
I'm currently 5 months into an nhs administration job having spent the last 15 years in other nhs roles, mainly elderly support work or admin. These roles have all fit around childcare for my 3 DC so whilst I didn't find them particularly fulfilling (nhs admin is excessively stressful but maybe landed in the wrong department??). I would love to stay in as an employee in the nhs, it's an organisation I believe in and I'm aware lots of opportunities exist but how to find something more fulfilling either inside or outside the nhs. I am passionate about supporting and helping others, work hard but generally can do more now my 3 DC are older. I want to leave work at the office door and not feel so stretched to meet unrealistic administrative expectations for 20k a year. (Pay isn't an issue but doing something unfulfilling is). I cant stick doing this for the next 25 years!!
Am I being ungrateful and just be grateful I have a job that fits in with life? Is it wrong to want more and how many jobs should one have to keep doing before something fits?? Am only educated up to level 4. Any insight at all? Thanks for reading 📚
