Missing tasks in job description

My supervisor's old job is being advertised. I used to cover her while on annual leave. It is a pressurised job. Some deadlines are not negotiable as there can't be delays as it will be lost revenue from customers if they start later. The job description does not mention councillor enquiries which multiple enquiries need to be answered a day and respond to customer complaints is not mentioned. If these are big parts of the job why are they not mentioned? I feel they are trying to dupe people.

If you really want an answer to your question you will have to ask. They might be reorganising so that these tasks will not be part of the job. They might not be aware of how significant these tasks are. They may expect the job holder to delegate. But these are all guesses.
