Quick background - I have worked in private client tax for almost 8 years now, ATT and CTA qualified. I am looking to move to my small home city and the job options are very limited just now. But I’ve never really loved my job so am open to a change and considering my options.
There are a several finance manager / finance assistant - type positions that look interesting. Problem is they require a background in accounting which I don’t have! From the job specs everything sounds doable and I am more than willing to learn. I might even consider doing more exams if it was needed!
A very niche question I know. But has anyone made a similar move? Or does anyone currently work as a finance manager and think they would hire a tax bod with little accounts experience?
