Did it take forever for NHS recruitment to get round to even sending off for references? I have my clear DBS back, Occu Health appointment coming up next week but still not sent for references. Just wondering. Thanks

Yes. It's a pain in the ass but always seems to take forever! Keep on at recruitment.

Thank you. I assumed it was probably just a very slow process. I'm going to give them a ring on Monday. Just don't want to be a pain.

Hello, I have recently been offered a job at NHS (clerical), I accepted the verbal offer which was 30 hours for ENT surgery, however got a letter offering me the same post but different hours (37.5) and a different surgery (neurosurgery) and a different location. The offer that is in writing is much better than the verbal one. Does anyone know could they have made a mistake?

The NHS recruitment is abysmal. Quite often results in people taking alternative employment because they can't wait around for HR to sort everything. So, a waste of everyone's time!
The constant chasing up is infuruating and it's gone on for years and years like this.
My advice- don't work for them!
