Super low cringe threshold

Just wondering if anyone else experiences this - I frequently find I spend a lot of time mentally playing back things I’ve done and said at work and cringing at myself. It doesn’t even have to be anything major or super embarrassing - I just imagine everyone is looking at me while I’m presenting or talking in meetings thinking I don’t know what I’m talking about. It makes me cringe so hard remembering what I said and did.

Anyone else have this? Any tips on how to get over it? It’s exhausting!

God. I’m like this. I went bright red in a meeting yesterday just because someone said ‘ everything is looking good …and thank you VeryLittle for sourcing the…’ so people glanced my way. Blush

I mostly sit mute in meetings and pray no one asks me a question. It’s torture. No tips because I’ve been working over 35 years and I still can’t deal with it. It is exhausting, especially when your head is re running it all at 3am!

If it's a presentation I think most people are thinking thank fuck I'm
Not up there

I go by

Will it matter in five minutes
Will it matter in five hours
Will it matter in five days and so on.

It won't. Dont worry about it.
