Does anyone else feel like when you talk to management and suggest little things they do the opposite(like I've sat next to a window for several years and like sun but in the move to a new building a temp has been sat next to a window despite her never requesting it)

or management try and break you down with jokey telling offs?

There seems to be a little jobsworth in every manager that chooses a tiny issue to bring you down a percentage point every week

Is it a uniquely British thing? Do management make their day better by making your day worse?

I had another job where it took me 15 mins for the toilet(5 going, 5 performing and 5 returning
I decided to go at 14.40 and go home from the second floor (thus saving the company 10 min). The next day The manager said I should leave the floor in future before 14.45 and should have gone afterwards. In conclusion it would be better to go in the middle of the day costing them 10 mins of productivity
