How will working from home - which is quite isolated / isolating and often much harder than people think - help to manage your depression? As a manager that would be the first question I would want a conclusive answer to. Very seriously, the majority of requests we get from people NOT to work from home are based on their mental health suffering when working from home.

I would imagine with the NHS you'll need to formally put in a statutory flexible working request, usually there are stipulations on how and when you can do so and you say it's a new admin role.
You can only make a statutory request after 26 weeks of employment.

A non statutory request is basically a more informal ask, but many large employers insist on following the statutory route.

Ask for a meeting and ask your line manager. I would've thought the NHS is good at these topics
It really depends on your manager ans whether they are trusting and progressive
