I am feel very anxious.
Was living overseas many years, had my first child there and told would be super difficult to conceive again. Made decision to return Uk, find work for OH to later join me (I would be sponsor so need to earn earning over a certain threshold). Then found out quite late into first trimester I was pregnant again. Applying for jobs in order for OH to join us in uk and have been applying for civil service jobs. Naively having spent so long out of the UK I have forgotten how long recruitment takes and getting etc. I have secured a job but by time everything is done and I’m ready to start I’ll be in third trimester by looks of it. Has anyone started a new job on third trimester and how did they handle it? I hate to cause any new employer a fuss. I know my rights legally but practically I know I will be an inconvenience but in same breathe I need a job earning a certain amount and 6 months payslips so our family can be reunited . For that reason I will have a super short Maternity leave but riddled with anxiety about it all. Delaying things and finding work after new baby arrives isn’t practical either as it is delaying my OH joining us permanently in UK and being able to work etc and being a United family . If we was a normal family settled in uk I would just wait but I can’t . Any advice and / or reassurance would be great from anyone who found themselves in position of starting work in third trimester xoxo
