I’m currently on maternity pay, due back in a month. I’ve interviewed for and been offered a new role within the same company but waiting for a contract before handing my notice in to my current department.
The new role is the same money, but full time and better prospects. My current role allows me to do four days, which would make childcare much easier. They’re the same salary (although obviously I’d earn less working p/t). Not to drip-feed, I applied for the new role believing they would be flexible but I’m struggling to get any commitment of this from the internal recruiter.
I can’t decide whether to be ambitious (which would benefit my children long term as more money) or if being available for nursery/school right now is better for them. Please help 🙈
