Childcare Job Ideas

I am currently working as a nanny but wanting to move on to a more permanent, fulfilling career. I have a level 2 and 3 in childcare and wanted to find a training job rather than going back to school. Every time I search for jobs / job ideas it only comes up with nannying, teaching assistant and nursery jobs which doesn't interest me. Potentially looking for a career in child therapy or a child dietician but not sure how to start off those careers.
Does anyone know of any jobs I can look into? Thanks

I would think that you’d need to be qualified as a therapist/dietitian to do either of those roles.

I think both of those will require a degree as the minimum.

Would you be interested in apprenticeships? There are apprenticeship routes into jobs like occupational therapy?

Or something like Portage? Which i think is training rather than a degree

Yes starting at the bottom and building my up was what I was looking for and always found occupational therapy interesting so I'll look into the apprenticeships, thank you!

Yeah I figured that'd be the case I was just hoping someone might know an alternative or another job role. Long shot but never know 100% until you ask.

What about doing an ELSA course? I’m looking to do this at some point.

Interesting, I've never heard of that before. I will definitely look into that, thank you!

Working in a children's centre. I started as a play worker and moved into family support.

I started in childcare nannying. I worked in a sure start centre and now work in a child protection team.
Best thing I ever did!

Slide side step but there are incentives to training as a children's social worker at the moment, but would require a degree
