Exam invigilator interview - any Qs or tips?

Happy Sunday.

I have an interview later in the week for a bank exam invigilator role at an adult learning centre. It’ll be a side role as I have a main job already.

Has anyone been an exam invigilator and do you have any Qs/tips for interview? Anything particular I should be considering when it comes to adults?

Thanks

I used to work in an FE college. I'd say the main qualities are being calm, responsible, not prone to getting flustered and with attention to detail (for things like registering people and taking in scripts and dealing with the paperwork). A good loud voice would also help.

Sometimes students have panics or health issues, so being able to deal sympathetically but appropriately with them would be useful. And very occasionally you might catch someone cheating, so being able to follow whatever procedure is to be followed would be necessary. Similarly the procedure for evacuation in case of a fire alarm. (They will be policies.)

And you'll need shoes that don't squeak Grin
