When did you hear back after NHS interview?

Had interview yesterday it’s a career pathway I really want to get into so I’m anxiously waiting! I know they had more interviews today. They told me latest will be Friday next week! But indulge me while I’m waiting how long after interview did you get a decision? It’s a band 4 admin role.

All of mine have been by the end of the day but band 5/6.

Haha 😂 there’s only one post so I hope they would get the second day of interviews done before they made their decision. I hope I hear tomorrow I can’t wait till next Friday 😩 I’d rather be put out of my misery if it’s a no.

@Doyouthinktheyknow no not yet! I was hoping I would hear yesterday. I thought the interview went really well. You always wonder with the NHS if they already have an internal applicant in mind though. Hopefully Monday will bring positive news!

If they told you next Friday it's likely they have other interviews arranged next week.

@strawberry2017 no the interviews were held on two days last week Wednesday and Thursday. They said the last eat I would hear is Friday next week.

I had an interview on Tuesday got a call on Friday offering me the job. From past experience it will be at least another 8 weeks before I get a start date.

within 3 days I knew they wanted me (am massively suspicious there were no other candidates, too). But the formal offer took many weeks to come thru & all the other admin took many more weeks, then my new line manager went on hols so that was another 2 weeks. Line manager was fast to reply to all emails, I acted on each step within hours but somewhere else in system everything moved like treacle.

Interview to starting job was 15 weeks.

The same day. Most of the time they already have somebody is like big clique.

In my experience we always try to mark the interviews at the end of the day of interviewing or first thing the next day if it's a late finish.
In the nhs if they have someone internal they want for the role they do have the option to just advertise internal only so if it's gone external that's probably a good sign they don't have someone in mind for it.

I interviewed on 30 December found out I was successful that afternoon and start in a week - pretty fast given pvg etc done good luck op hope you’re successful

Hope you hear soon. The whole process of job hunting is very stressful and the wait for the outcome doesn’t help😞

I heard back today I didn’t get it! Disappointed as I know I would have been really good at it and have all the relevant skills and experience! These posts don’t come up often so I could be waiting a long time for it again! I may need to rethink my career direction.

Thank you 😊 @Doyouthinktheyknow that’s nice of you to say. To make things worse I have Covid now feeling a bit sorry for myself today tbh. I seem to be stuck in a dead end job and I can’t find a way out! Fingers crossed something will come up soon.
