Dict8 and other transcription services

Hi all...I'm a newbie and love reading all of your comments about Dict8. I'm finding there isn't much work available at the moment and wondered if anyone new of any other similar companies or those or employ people for VR transcription.

As I'm sure you are aware of, but conscious some people looking for freelance work aren't, the pay per audio minute may look good at the start, but you have to work out how long it takes you to transcribe then proofread the file to work our the 'true' hourly or daily rate. A 60 minute multi-voice audio file for instance, could take all day to transcribe, then proofread.

Have just applied to Dict8 as I retired at end of 2021 due to no fault of my own & hoping to continue what I loved doing to fill some time

Hi, I have been typing Cardiology for Dict8 for a couple of years and these last two weeks there hasn't been any dictation, has anyone noticed the work has dried up? Most of mine was from Guys and St Thomas' I wonder if they have moved over to voice recognition???

I’m just going to request my outstanding monies and not bother logging on after they have paid me. I have signed up with another couple but no idea what they will be like
