I'm doing this tomorrow, I can't stand it anymore. I'm regularly in tears and feeling sick constantly. I've never taken a risk like this in my life but I've written out my resignation and I feel so much better for it. I'm thinking at least I'll have more time to brush up on some new skills, take some breathing space and throw myself into job hunting.
I do have a mortgage but enough savings (touch wood no big bill etc) to last me 18 months or so. No children or pets. I work in administration so not specialised and I'll happily do anything for work to tide me over for the time being.
