Part Time Jobs

My son is in Year 11 and is looking for a part time job to do after his GCSE's. Are there any places like cafes or anything really that offer part time jobs to young students in Epsom?

I don't know anything about Epsom, but a key point is whether he has had his birthday or not, as most places won't employ U16s.

Some won't employ U18s, as there are more restrictions, but most parts of the Country have so many vacancies, I suspect that won't be so much of a barrier as it once was.

It might also be worth bearing in mind that some employers do not take on until you are 16 AND of school leaving age - June time..
Not sure on Epsom, but have you tried the local supermarkets/garden centres - employers will have risk assessments for young workers and they are specific about responsibilities etc.

for example - I know supermarkets will not employ under 18s to work checkouts, alcohol or operate the back doors for obvious reasons.
