Commemorative gift

I am one of 8 trustees who manage an organisation that is shortly to disband and become part of another similar organisation. We have been part of the management team for around 3 years together and have faced some really tricky challenges and all have a great rapport with each other. Sadly, in the merger half of us will come into one division and half of us will be in another so we will no longer be working in the same team.

I want to get everyone a gift to commemorate our time, and to commemorate the fact we will be the last ever management team of our area as it stands as it is quite a big deal.

I am stuck as to what to get and am hoping that people may be able make suggestions of what to get please .. with their being 8 of us and me doing this completely off my own back, and it being a voluntary role, it really can't be too expensive but I would like to get everyone the same keepsake and make it something worth keeping. Any ideas considered!

Thanks in advance!

Something engraved with a suitable commemorative message that can either be used or displayed, such as a tankard, wine glass, carafe? Buying the items online and then taking to a local engraving service is the best way to get a good quality engraving, if you take this idea.

It's a hard one as one person's lovely keepsake is often someone else's idea of tat.

Is there a business book that you've all read or related to in the past? A print of something relating to the business? A framed photo of the team or a place that means something? Is there anything related to the industry that you work in?

Could you make some individual award certificates that are framed "Worst jokes", "Most positive", "Most likely to make the tea" and go out for a meal together where you present them with a few words about each persons a bottle of wine/nice chocolates.

Nice glasses, personalised mugs, personalised bottle of champagne...

Not sure what your budget is but an alternative would be something like John Lewis vouchers and just ask everyone to get something to remember the team.
