How long are enhanced DBS taking at the moment?

My DBS was received on the 17th Jan and stage two and three were completed on the same day. It is currently 'in progress' in stage four.

What are the current waiting times for a DBS?

It does not help that I am refreshing the page every hour, I have no patience!

I’m north east and been waiting for mine since 16th jan, same situation on stage 4 police checks and hadn’t moved since. Which area are you?

Same here stage 2 and 3 were done same day but stage 4 is taking ages.

I’ve under gone two recently. The enhanced took about two weeks. The civil thingy is still ongoing. No rhyme or reason.

Depends on the police force. Apparently they are allocated x time by the DBS and as applications through the roof it outstrips their allocation capacity.

How longs a piece of string 🤷🏼‍♀️ could be an hour, could be another 2 months. It is very frustrating.

I just got mine after 80 days and thought that was bad enough. I cried down the phone to the DBS people and the local police on the same day, as I was getting terrifyingly skint and stage 4 was completed the next day (then the DBS office failed to print it for a further week of 'quality assurance' until I phoned again...). Completed the next working day.

Have you phoned them? My local police were actually lovely. Really sympathetic and apologetic. DBS people helpful too. You're allowed to chase it once it's been at stage 4 for 60 days, so you're definitely could, if you haven't!
