Need free career advice

I am looking for a new career. Without sounding like I am blowing my own trumpet, I have many different skills but none too comprehensive or advanced, apart from graphic design, which was a role I held a few years ago now and tends to be low paid in my area. My question is how do I get some good career advice and for free?

I’ve always assumed the National Careers Service offers its one to one advice for free. If I’m wrong - they’ll at least be able to point you in the right direction.

By the way - do you know there’s a Mature Study and Retraining board here? Surely worth a browse.
