I work for a company which only has 9 employees, no HR dept.
The owner of the company is the decision maker.
Part of my job is to process and pay invoices, these are authorised by the owner before paying.
The problem I have is that the owner is continuously getting work done to his house and the invoices for this work is being sent to me for payment.
He got his carpets fitted and got them to invoice our company for the work, when I questioned what it was for he said it was fine and to pay it. This is just an example but there has been a lot of other personal expenses invoiced like this. The invoices are addressed to the company rather than him personally.
Is this legal?
