Hi, first time poster here. I was recently successful in a job interview to be a Probation Services Office. My question is do you need to be able to drive to be a Probation Services Officer? I did ask at the end of the interview if you needed your own Car/transport and the interviewer said no. But I forgot to clarify whether or not you needed to be able to drive to do the job. There is nothing in the job description that mentions about a driving licence being needed. I do have a license but it's been a long time since I've driven. Thanks in advance.

@Summerlovings Could you give some examples of any of the questions from your interview? I have an interview next week and your experience would be really helpful, Thanks

Hi anyone whose interviewing. Be prepared to answer questions that show you can do the job! Have you guided anyone successfully? Have you inspired someone? How do you keep them on track when they're falling off? Let's look at the components to this job- collaboration, ebp, workload management, resilience, stress management, confrontation. What's your experience of these? What do they mean to you? Do you think its right to put yourself in someone else's shoes or should you be looking at this objectively? These are not exact questions (some might be!) but you should definitely be thinking about answers to all of these to help you in your interview.

Hey! I'm going for an interview on 24th Nov... I'm so excited, was it intense?

Hi guys , i was asked about communication. What does communication mean in my opinion and I remember another question . They asked me if i am seeing an offender in the absence of my colleague ( who is the offender manager) and if he asks me to make a referral regarding his health, what should i do.

Thanks for the info, that’s helpful, any other questions you can remember?

Rainaf · 18/11/2023 19:17

Thank you for this info. Much appreciated... I really hope I'm not too nervous for the interview... So excited and I've been thinking of examples in my recent job that I could transfer to pso but I work in private health, taking calls so not really many examples lol! But I've done care work so trying to rack my brains with that too!! Xx

Oh god... I don't think I did too well in the interview.... It was done within 30 mins... Is that bad or good? Aaahhhh she did say she needs to interview others and she doesn't have a time frame on when I will be told the outcome... But she did ask where I was based? So, not sure if that is a good thing or not? One was very smiley, laughing happy, but the other was very stern looking
