One drive

A month or so ago my work laptop was broken, and work said to use my laptop and one drive to connect to their servers
I downloaded one drive onto my laptop and definitely logged in with my work username and passwords
All my personal home documents uploaded onto the work drive ! Obviously I didn't want them on the work drive, so I deleted them from the work drive
Now I've tried to use my home documents (not via one drive), and I can't find them on the laptop
There loads of things on there that I need
I carnt even seem to find photos
I've removed one drive from the laptop, and restarted it a few times.
How do I persuade my laptop to give my access?!
I don't want to involve work IT, because it's personal stuff on there
Thanks

I would just let it upload to OneDrive at this point, you need someone actually looking at your laptop to help you sort this out. Better to have it in OneDrive than to have lost it completely.

Thank you tribpot

I really wish I hadn't bothered with one drive
I hadn't realised one drive could infect a laptop like this

Work won't be helpful. I did ring them on the day and they were less than helpful

I don't want to take laptop anywhere incase there's work stuff on it

Lesson learned I guess

Someone in a computer shop like PC World won't need to take the laptop off you, you can look at it with them, so you can direct them not to look at any files.

So
Looks like I've managed to disable works laptop ☹️

It's locked me out of OUTLOOK
Nothing to do with one drive surely??

Nightmare @StayAGhost hope you get it sorted.

tribpot · 23/11/2022 13:47

I don't think so, but at least now you can call the IT team!

Can you get into Outlook in the browser? Same process as before, screenshot from 12:12.

BaconMassive · 23/11/2022 13:47

Outlook and One Drive are all part of the Microsoft suite of programs.

I just want to send strength - this all sounds absolutely awful Flowers

OneFrenchEgg · 23/11/2022 21:00

Did you already have a OneDrive that you were using? (It's all part of Microsoft eg outlook , one drive with your personal email and password)?

OneFrenchEgg · 23/11/2022 21:01

I have the office app and can switch between both accounts within it. Same as outlook - I wonder if you are trying to log into work outlook with personal details?

Dadof5gremlins · 23/11/2022 22:11

What a nightmare. I have 7 or more hard drives with everything backed up because one drive delete stuff if you don't view it for a while.
