The business I co-founded has just been sold...

...and I am having a moment of sadness...I sold out 7 years ago so have been out of it for a while.

My feelings are irrational, as I don't regret my decision to leave and have some wonderful years with my DS before he started school...something I would never have been able to do if I had stayed, but I am just slightly sad, for reasons I cannot articulate fully...

No one in RL would understand...hence the post...

I understand . You can’t build a successful business without putting something of yourself into it and caring about the staff and the customers / clients.

And it’s only natural to wonder about how things might have turned out if you had stayed.

It's the end of an era. No wonder you are feeling rather bereft.
