Soooo, I've been a SAHM for years. My eldest is 9, youngest is 2.5. He now attends preschool two mornings a week until he gets his 15 hours in April next year.
I love working and I need something to keep me busy when he's at preschool, and other times too, because I miss working and there's only so much cleaning I can do at home.
DH works 40+ hours a week and is pretty flexible with most of the time being able to help with school runs if needed.
I've been a volunteer previous to having my youngest in an infant school as a parent helper for 2 years, and on school committees as a volunteer.
I've also been looking at courses to take to fill the gap while I'm not in work, but it's the funding it side of things I struggle with.. I'm also not 100% sure what courses or qualifications I necessarily need to be where I'd love to be.
Ideally I'd love to be working or starting in a TA position, SEN.. along them lines.
Before children I was a shift manager in BK. 😏 and tbh, it's not something I'd ever look at doing again as I didn't like my job. It was just a job to me. Yes it pays the bills but I want to enjoy what I do. So I took maternity and never went back.

Anyone got any advice or in the same boat? 🥴

And just to add, I was a cleaner part time for 2 years up until last Christmas.
I just don't think anyone would want to take a 30 year old mum who's basically been out of hard graft for 9 years! 😂 so I'm extremely nervous too.
