Am I right in thinking that £9 an hr for a "treasure" in Notting Hill is only going to attract monkeys?

Ad in Saturday's Guardian:

That advert has been in the Guardian every single week for about a year. And the salary goes up quite frequently so whoever it is has obviously not found anyone.

That ad is very curious. It's always in there. Do apply and find out who it is. Either it's a front for something or it's someonwe so nightmarish she only keeps her helpers for a short period.

a good sense of humour so you can both have a good laugh about the wage!

WendyWeber · 29/01/2008 10:37

Every week? Really? (I don't usually look at the jobs.) What did the wage start at, brnaflake? Maybe it's a social study...maybe the writer is writing a book composed entirely of the replies to the ad...

I would apply, but I'm totally useless at bullshitting

It started off around £7/8 an hour I think and then steadily rose. It literally is there every week and I'm always curious as to who it is - almost makes me want to apply to find out! I imagine some cantankerous old woman who scares everyone who applies away.
