The Queens funeral and Jubilee and my mat leave

So I was off for both the jubilee and funeral. Now I’m back to work my employers have asked me to work out my holiday (I know, I know they should do it but live and let live). I know the office was shut for the queens funeral. Does that mean that instead of using 28 days annual leave in my calculations I should use 29 or 30? Sorry if it doesn’t make sense,I’m confusing myself!

If they aren’t going to do their job I’d go for 30!

Go for 30 and plead ignorance if they ever come back to you and say you're wrong! If they can't be bothered to do it themselves, they can deal with any mistakes!

You don't need to plead ignorance. They were both bank holidays and you are legally entitled to accrue them on mat leave. So the correct figure is whatever figure includes both bank holidays (and all other bank holidays whilst you were off).

Employers didn’t need to give those bank holidays. Do you know if your allowed the bank holidays for the rest of the business?

Employers didn't need to give those bank holidays. So if you were working you probably would have been paid bank holiday rate. (As the people at my workplace did) I was on a day off and and didn't receive a day in loo (this is NHS btw)
I thought that's how most employers did it for the Queen funeral.

Thanks guys, I sent it to my boss but I’m not in until Monday and he hasn’t replied to my email. I will update then incase anyone else finds themselves in this situation!
