I returned from sick leave due to anxiety, and my manager and HR have both been really supportive with getting me in contact with occupational health and being flexible and accommodating throughout my return to work.
I've been told by family friends and even my GP how supportive work have been for me, and how it's not really the norm for a company and manager to be so supportive.
In a meeting with my line manager and HR which was kind of rapping things up and talking about support going forward I just said a quick thank you to both of them for the support they have given me during this time, and that it's been really helpful with getting me settled back into work.
There was a bit of an awkward silence and I think I maybe shouldn't have said that and that it was a bit cringey?
