Would you go for an interview at the company you dh had been made redundant from?

I ha call last week from an agency saying the had a role for me which was IT based on the role I currently do.
When she started talking about the company I knew it was who my DH worked for for 7 years up until 2005 when he was made redundant.(they closed the office in Scotland)
He doesn't have a problem with it which is why I said for the agency to send my cv forward. I have just had an email saying they want to see me for an interview and now I'm not sure if it is the right thing to do.

Unless it was for your DH's actual job, or your dh had a problem with it, or they are a crap company to work for.

I would go for it.

hiya

Sure, why not? Unless he left on bad terms and thinks they are a bad company to work for, which clearly he doesn't.

Thanks!
It was the role he used to be team leader of so knows it well!
He thinks I'd be good at it which is why he suggested the agency stil put my name forward.
I emailed the agency to ask if the manager who is doing the interviews knows who I am as I'd rather he knew before I turned up!

Think that's polite if you think it's be an obstruction to him giving you a fair interview- do you know him well?

choosyfloosy · 22/01/2008 13:24

your dh sounds very cool about this - impressed

i'd go for it tbh

why on earth does the manager need to know who you are?

Yes I kind of knew him wll as I went to Christmas parties and a couple of other functions that he was at. I also used to pick dh up everyday so saw a few of them when they came out and if I took ds in when he was a baby.

Choosy I guess I'm being polite and don't want to waste his time!
