Applied for a apprenticeship with a company for a fixed term 2 year contract for a CIPD level 3 .

Currently a teacher assistant with school hours and hoildays! The above job pays me 500 a year more then I am currently earning but I will have to work 6 weeks more a year for it ( am likely to get a pay rise in current job in September which could mean pay will near enough be the same ) .

Its fixed term but they are expanding so a role may be available on completion or at least I will have a qualification.
What would you do if it was you ?

Why did you apply?

If you like the TA role I can’t see a reason to apply.

If you don’t like the TA role, then the apprenticeship is a good entry route into HR. Whilst you can progress within HR without CIPD, the qualification gives you a good basic grounding in the HR practices you will use throughout your career.

I would do it but then I’m in HR. CIPD qualifications open doors.
