OTs who want to/have changed career?

I have been an OT for my entire adult working life and its been slowing creeping up on me since the beginning of the year that this is no longer the right career for me. I just feel completely burned out and drained. I would really like a job that is not in the public sector or health care anymore. Does anyone have any experience in this and any advice? Thank you 😊

Occupational health roles maybe?

Ok just read not public service etc. Will post back if think of anything else!

Good luck op and I appreciate what you have been likely doing the last few years! The backlogs and vacancies are terrible.

What about switching sector? Huge waiting lists round here for sensory integration trained OTs in the private sector, and special schools are desperate for OTs too (again SI training is absolutely the icing on the cake).

Which service do you work in?
Could you change the area you are in? Condense hours/drop hours to look at something else along side like training, private work, case management?

Or do a total career change? Or non clinical
NHS role?
