If you used to be an Executive Assistant, what do you do now?

Hello all

As the question suggests, I was wondering for those that used to be an EA what do you do now?

I had decided a little while ago that I didn't want to do the role anymore but took a new job as an EA as it is on a fixed term contract and it was paying £10k more than my previous one and felt I would have more of a bargaining tool when applying for the next role. I have thought about riding out the contract (it ends in April next year) but I am so bored. I have asked for more tasks and spoken to my manager but additional work is not very forthcoming.

I would like to do something else but because of my current salary I can't really manage much of a reduction but would consider if the right thing came along. Also when applying for jobs out of the EA scope do people look beyond that? I have worked with students in Higher Education so would be interested in that or project management and will be seeking out training opportunities but wondered the route that others have taken?

Thanks in advance for your insights!
